HIS-tory Maker ‘09

Just realised the version we sang of Arms Open Wide is wayyy cooler than the original version.

Simply because of this verse:

“Take my all, my History;

Make your call, my Destiny

That I may walk in all You have for me”

The original version was:

“Take my hands and make them clean

Keep my heart in purity

That I may walk in all You have for me”

How apt for a History Maker camp.. Beautiful.

If i were to give a short summary of this camp i’ll say this:

We’re often told to come to camp expecting – come with an empty cup and God will fill that cup, come with a ocean and God will fill that that ocean.

years back in Teenzeal (the youth ministry name then) the leaders taught us to always come camp expecting.

a few years back daddyGod showed me a greater revelation of expectations.

“Come with an empty cup and God will OVERFLOW it with blessings, come with Universes and He’ll STILL OVERFLOW those universes. Because God always exceeds our expectations”

But in this History Maker 09 camp it’s different. In fact it’s the best camp I’ve ever been to (This is my tenth plus camp I think)

So why is it different?

Because the move of God went beyond exceeding expectations to healing broken and callous hearts which feared expectations.

Just recently God spoke to me about the cup revelation afresh.

“You don’t have to always come with empty cup to be filled, you don’t need to empty your cup;

Come to me with whatever vessel you have, it doesn’t matter if it’s filled with dirty water – come to me and I’ll fill you with waters of my love till all the dirty water flows out and ONLY my waters of love remains – think of it like pouring sprite into coke.

Eventually the Sprite will displace the coke. So does my love for your hurts.. If you can’t empty yourself… Come still… If you only have a small vessel, come still… Even if you only have a small vessel full of hurts.. Come still…

As long as you don’t cover your vessel – I can heal every hurt and every bitterness, I’ll pour out my love till all the pain cease, till all the hurts flow out. I’ll pour out my life till yours is restored.

Just come as you are – Give me who you are now. You don’t need to be anything to receive from me, just be yourself.

Because I already love you

as

you

are.”

And God just did that – I saw my whole care group LITERALLY transformed. For those who have expectations – God’s exceeded them, but for those who didn’t know what to expect but just a touch from Him – He did more that that, He restored them and GAVE them expectations, a new and fresh fire for Him.

Amidst the strong worship and the powerful word spoken and the amazing ministering. One thing was constant – God pouring and pouring out His love and choice blessings.

And we just needed to be who we are at that point of time to receive it.

This camp I saw lives changed, eyes opened and hearts healed.

Next time I’ll be that channel to see lives changed, eyes opened and hearts healed. I have a call and I’m ready to let God carry me through my journey. (:
